Sealants

Dental Sealants are placed on newly erupted teeth to prevent decay.  This is a clear, glass-like covering placed in the deep grooves of the teeth that are too small for regular toothbrushing to clean.  These are usually placed on back teeth in a very simple appointment.  The teeth are cleaned with a special solution, and the sealant is flowed onto the tooth, then cured hard with a special light.
